Founded in 1966, the company develops special fertilizers that provide essential macro and micronutrients to optimize soil fertility in various agricultural crops. Over 58 years revolutionizing Brazilian agriculture with innovation and sustainability.

  • 1966

    Driven by the growth of the Economic Miracle, Mitsui Company arrived in Brazil in 1966, establishing Mitsui Fertilizers in Poços de Caldas.

    This installation marked the beginning of a successful trajectory in fertilizer production, significantly contributing to the advancement of Brazilian agriculture.

  • 1968

    On December 7, 1968, Mitsui Fertilizers began production of Yoorin magnesia thermophosphate, marking history with the connection of the first furnace of its factory in Brazil.

  • 1973–1974

    Between 1973 and 1974, during the launch of the Polo-Centro Project by the Brazilian government to explore the agricultural potential of the Cerrado, Mitsui Fertilizers played an essential role.

    Yoorin thermophosphate stood out as an indispensable ally in transforming the Cerrado into one of the most productive regions in the country, thanks to its unique characteristics, perfectly adapted to the local soil and climate.

  • 1981

    In June 1981, with the inauguration of the sixth furnace, the Poços de Caldas factory became the largest in the world in terms of Yoorin magnesia thermophosphate production capacity.

  • 1994

    Mitsui Fertilizers launched the Foliar Line, introducing Yogen, one of the pioneers in foliar fertilizers in Brazil.

  • 2011

    In 2011, Mitsui Company restructured its businesses in Brazil and sold its fertilizer division, Mitsui Fertilizantes, to the Curimbaba Group.

    From this acquisition, the company began operating under the name Yoorin Fertilizantes.

  • 2012

    With over 47 years of research and agronomic testing in partnership with the main Brazilian universities, the Curimbaba Group, through Yoorin Fertilizantes, launched the potassic fertilizer line, highlighting the innovative Ekosil.

    Launch of Potasil: The New Solution for the Potassic Line
