The thermophosphate factory was founded in the city of Poços de Caldas – Minas Gerais in the 60’s by the japonese multinational Mitsui and it was acquired by the Grupo Curimbaba in December of 2010. Historical date in which the Curimbaba enters definitively for the agribusiness segment as manufacturer of thermophosphate through the Yoorin Fertilizantes.

The thermophosphate it is a fertilizer obtained from the electrofusion process and it is presents high technology and high agronomic efficiency proven by several official research agencies of Brazil. With the assets’ acquisition, the Grupo Curimbaba, also acquired rights over the brands, YOORIN, N-YOORIN, YOGEN, YOOKARIN and H-MASTER, products recognized nationally and internationally for its high agronomic efficiency and for its high productivity results.

The Grupo Curimbaba and the Yoorin Fertilizantes have transcending their horizons through research and technology linked to the effective and sustainable use of their mines, in the development of new products based on potassium. This is a major step of the Group towards the internal policy of vertical integration, whereby new organic alternatives are being incorporated into the company's portfolio.

The Grupo Curimbaba, a family-controlled holding constituted by Oxicur Participações S/A and Alopar Comércio e Participações S/A. Nowadays, The Grupo Curimbaba is composed in Brazil by the following companies: Mineração Curimbaba Ltda., Elfusa Geral de Electrofusão Ltda.; Olga S.A Indústria e Comércio, Empresa de Transportes Alcace Ltda; Tarumã Agropecuária e Florestal Ltda, Espigão Café Ltda, Mineração Caldense Ltda. and Yoorin Fertilizantes. And it also has international activities through the following companies: SintexMinerals & Services, Inc, SintexMinerals International, U.S Minerals; ElectroAbrasives, in the United States of America ; and Sublime, in South Africa.

All the companies in the Group work with differentiated products with high added value in the markets in which they operate: abrasive, refractory, ceramic, oil and gas, surface treatment, oil treatment, transportation sector, construction and agribusiness. This is a guideline of the Grupo Curimbaba, whose outset is the investment in technology and quality.
Upon this scenario, the Yoorin Fertilizantes is reference in the differentiated fertilizers market in Brazil and abroad.
